The Anchor House of Artists facility isn't only for the wealthy. On Sat. afternoons between 1-4 it is free to the magority of artists with mental disabilitys whom are on a fixed income and can not affored to come through out the week. the cost is increasing in oct. The studio is open through out the week for a few others who can offord the cost(3 or 4 people). 2 of which are from families that make large contrabutions to Michael Tillyer. Things like rent and comission are detrermand by your value and contrabutions to Michael. I belived if I payed my rent for studio space that would be all that was asked of me. $50 a mounth seems like a little or a lot to some. I had the luxury of being able to go. Keven Bouricius is not so lucky. He has a very fixed income like so many others. The people that Michael Tillyer claims to be helping. I have seen Kevin put his dollars and change together to buy a canvas or a tube of oil paint. he has asked myself and other for help with his suppies. Michael does see him. He stroles into his life when Michael needs a poster child (Keven is unkept, very diabled and so starved for attention) to open up the hearts and pockets for grants and government funding. He will invite Kevin to speeking engagments and fund raising exhibits. Michael's time at the studio is too important to consern himself with Keven Bouricius. Michael Tillyer does have a poster sized poster of Keven on the wall just to add to the insult. Does this sound like exploitation? 10 years ago the Anchor House and Michael Tiller where much different and probubly did do a lot for a good cause.

At a speeking engagment he claimed to be helping many many many artists i belive the number was around 60? i didn't make sence or was not anything acurate. he has no contact with Genaveive burnett. she is all most compleatly deaf and house bound. i met her once and michael was unable to comunicate with het (it was at a fund raiser). Michael has many paintings of hers all for sale. Through out the ten years Michael has bought art from all the artists that have come and gone. He has a very nice large room in the back where he stores them. The art he has bought, was bought with the money he has resived from grants and funding. the total sale of all thoughs paintings, for sale via exploiting disable people will total quite a hidden treasure.
