The skill of the photographer is quite evident here. What especially struck me was the way in which he uses shutter speed, focus, and exposure to [convey] the effect I would assume the architecture has. This is especially obvious in the first picture where some of the running figures appear somewhat ghostly; this effect corresponds to the somewhat archaic design of the building behind them.
